Aim and Scope:
The aim of 4TH ICICTH SAMOS 2006 is to provide a forum to discuss achievements and actual experiences, specific topics in Medical Informatics focusing on innovative methods and approaches. This year's conference focuses on the contribution of health telematics to health care process (e-Health), to education (e-learning) and to health research. E-Health can enhance and support seamless care and thus enable provision of and access to health services and health related information across organisational, regional and national boundaries, and E-Learning can enhance and support education inmedicine, nursing and health care.
4TH ICICTH SAMOS 2006 will seek to address the many challenges and new directions presented by technological innovations in the Health Care Sector. The conference presents selected talks, tutorials and contributions reviewed and selected by an international program committee.
English is the official language of the conference.

· Integrated Care/Shared Care/cooperative health information systems
· Patient empowerment
· Introducing electronic medical records (pitfalls and success stories)
· Clinical Physician Order Entry (CPOE)
· Evaluation of Health Information Systems
· Mobile applications for patient care
Call for proposals:
Submit your proposal to icicth at ineag.gr (attention Mrs. Maria Katharaki) by April 1, 2006. Proposals should include title, purpose/objective section, and a 150 -250-word summary. Papers must be suitable for a 15 minute presentation at a plenary session. Please include name, position and department, institution and contact information (phone, mail, fax and e-mail).
The Scientific Committee will referee all proposals. Each paper will be reviewed by the members of the Scientific Committee according to their field of expertise. Notification on whether the proposal has been accepted or not will be sent by April 20, 2006.
Completed manuscripts must be submitted by May 5, 2006. Papers presented at the conference will be published in the proceedings under the title: Information Communication Technologies in Health. Papers received after the deadline will not be included in the proceedings.
Papers must not exceed 5-6 pages (including abstract, references, tables, figures and diagrams). Papers exceeding the stated limits will be returned to the authors for revision. Please consult the Manuscript Preparation Guidelines at the conference website before submitting the final version of your paper, and/or download the template provided.
