APAMI-2012 Conference - Call for Papers Closes June 10th
The 7th Asia Pacific Association for Medical Informatics Conference (APAMI-2012) will be held at the Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace, Beijing, China on October 22-25, 2012. The Call for Papers is now open - closing date for submission of FULL PAPERS is June 10, 2012. World Tech Jam - Collaborative Healthcare

Medinfo2017 Bids Final Notice - Deadline 01 July 2012 
Bids for Medinfo2017 are invited from eligible IMIA Member Societies, and must be submitted by 01 July, 2012. The bid documents have been sent out to all Member Society official representatives on behalf of IMIA VP Medinfo, Prof. Riccardo Bellazzi. The vote to select the host will be held at the 2012 IMIA General Assembly. Only IMIA Member Societies who are fully paid up in respect of membership fees are able to bid, as per IMIA Statutes. For future Medinfos, bids for Medinfo2019 will be considered in 2014, and for Medinfo2021 in 2016. We will ask that Member Societies intending to bid also send a short expression of interest prior to the IMIA Board meeting of 23 June in Montreal.

Member Societies considering submitting bids are reminded that the location of MedInfos will typically move around the world, taking account of IMIA Regions. While there is not a strict rotation between regions, any region holding MedInfo will not be able to hold it again for 8 years (unless there are no other suitable bids). Any questions about bids should be directed to IMIA VP Medinfo, Prof. Riccardo Bellazzi (email: riccardo.bellazzi at unipv.it)



Medinfo2013 - First Call for Papers, Posters - Deadline 10 December 2012 
On behalf of Medinfo2013 Scientific Program Committee (SPC) Co-Chairs Dominik Aronsky, MD, PhD (dominik.aronsky[at]vanderbilt.edu) and Tze-Yun Leong, PhD (leongty[at]nus.edu.sg), we are pleased to announce the first preliminary Call for Papers, Student Papers, and Poster Submissions. Information on calls for other forms of submission, and on the opening of the submission system, will be made in the near future.

The closing date for submission will be: 10 December 2012

MEDINFO2013: 14th World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics - to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on August 20-23, 2013 - see http://www.medinfo2013.dk
The theme for MEDINFO2013 is "Conducting medical informatics by Converging technologies, Conveying sciences and Connecting people." The congress welcomes submissions on both emerging methodologies that contribute to the conceptual and scientific foundations of biomedical and health informatics, and successful implementations of innovative application, integration, and evaluation of eHealth systems and solutions. MEDINFO2013 is organized around four major tracks relevant to the domains of translational bioinformatics, clinical informatics, clinical research informatics, nursing informatics, consumer health informatics, and public health informatics.

HIC 2012: Health Informatics – Building a healthcare future through trusted information
The annual conference of Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) will be held from July 30 – August 2 in Sydney, Australia. The life-saving capacity of quality information and the appropriate use of information and technology has inspired this year’s conference theme. At HIC, government, health practitioners, industry and researchers come together to share knowledge and tackle problems facing healthcare in Australia from a health information perspective.

IMIA Working Group Security in Health Information Systems (SiHIS) Event: 03-05 August, Australia
The next meeting/event of the IMIA Working Group ‘Security in Health Information Systems (SiHIS) will be held on 03-05 August, 2012 in the Gold Coast, Australia. This will immediately follow the HISA (Health Informatics Society of Australia) conference, which is being held on 30 July to 02 August in Sydney - http://www.hisa.org.au/page/hic2012

HINZ2012 - Call for Submissions
Health Informatics New Zealand (HINZ) is pleased to invite submissions for their 2012 Health Informatics Conference – see http://www.hinz.org.nz/page/conference/conference-2012-cfp for further information and links to the submission system and other information on submission of papers, posters, workshops and other formats. This year’s theme, “Health Informatics into Clinical Practice“, acknowledges how critical health informatics is and can be in everyday care. HINZ are looking for stories, research, and leadership to make 2012 the Year of Health Informatics in New Zealand.

Papers:  Submissions close 30 June 2012
Workshop proposals must be submitted by 31 August 2012
Clinicians’ Challenge proposals must be submitted by 1 September 2012 

EJBI Call for Papers: Standards and Solutions for eHealth Interoperability
Prof. Jana Zvárová, Editor-in-Chief of EJBI, announces that the European Journal for Biomedical Informatics (EJBI - http://www.ejbi.eu), an official journal of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI), seeks papers for a special issue on Standards and Solutions for eHealth Interoperability. NI2012
NI2012 is now a little over 3 weeks away. NI 2012 is the 11th World Congress on Nursing Informatics; it is held under the auspices of the IMIA Special Interest Group in Nursing Informatics (IMIA-NI), and will be organised by AMIA. The conference theme is Advancing Global Health Through Informatics. The NI 2012 committees are chaired by Dr Patricia Abbott, and include representatives from many countries, including USA, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, New Zealand, Slovenia, South Africa, and UK. NI 2012 in Montreal, Canada on 23-27 June, 2012. The latest information on NI 2012 will always be on the official NI 2012 website - www.ni2012.org 

 
MIE2012 - Early Bird Registration Now Closes June 12

MIE2012, the XXIV Conference of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI), will be held in Pisa, Italy. MIE2012 will be organised by the Italian Association for Medical Informatics (AIIM), the Italian eHealth Community, and EFMI and held from August 26th to 29th, 2012. The theme is "Quality of Life through Quality of Information" and the event website at http://www.mie2012.it
Three main streams have been identified for the Conference programme:
Papers, Posters, Panels, Workshops, Short Communications, and Tutorials. 
'Village of the Future' which will try to mash-up developments to empower citizens, patients and care providers. 
Commercial stream for Industrial and SME participants with the exhibition and other contributions. 
Registration to the conference is open. Early bird registration now closes on June 12.

IX International Congress on Informatics for Health (Cuba) Call for Papers:
The IX International Congress on Informatics for Health (el IX Congreso Internacional de Informática en Salud) will be held from March 18 -22, 2013 in Havana, Cuba. The conference will be held as part of the XV edition of the 2013 International Informatics Convention and Fair, which will be held at the Palace of Conventions in Havana and at the fairgrounds PABEXPO.
