Request for Papers:

Last December the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS) as well as Schattauer Verlag, Stuttgart, Germany launched a new journal: Applied Clinical Informatics (ACI) ( www.aci-journal.org ).

We are inviting all IMIA members to submit their work to ACI . The editorial board of Applied Clinical Informatics is eager to have more international contributions to our journal. Please note that we accept publications in varying formats: Original research, case reports, reviews, news items, and letters to the editor. Instructions to authors can be found here: http://www.schattauer.de/en/magazine/subject-areas/journals-a-z/applied-clinical-informatics/for-authors/instructions-to-authors.html <http://derm.med.jhmi.edu/aci/instructionstoauthors.doc>

As the Official eJournal of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS), the ACI will publish approximately 100
peer reviewed articles per year online. ACI aims to establish a platform for knowledge sharing between clinical medicine and health IT specialists. It further intends to bridge gaps between visionary design
and successful and pragmatic deployment.

The core editorial subject matters of ACI are: Clinical information systems (including but not limited to electronic medical records and systems, personal health records, physician/provider order entry,
electronic prescribing, clinical decision support, nursing information systems, patient scheduling and tracking tools, lab information systems, radiology information systems, PACS, GP information systems),
administrative and management systems, eHealth systems, information technology development, deployment, and evaluation, socio-technical aspects of information technology and health IT training.

The target of ACI is an international and potentially very influential readership, e.g.: Chief Information Officers, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Medical Informatics Researchers, Nurse
Informaticians, Consultants, Public Health Officials, Vendors, IT Safety Healthcare providers, Informatics trainees as well as organizations such as AMDIS, HIMSS, AMIA, IMIA, AHA or the equivalent.

For further information on this highly valued online journal, contact clehmann at jhmi.edu or go to www.aci-journal.org <http://www.aci-journal.org/> .

Please consider submitting your work to Applied Clinical Informatics at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/acij

The contributors investigate thespecific importance of pediatric informatics is derived from the biological, psychological, social and cultural needs that the distinguish children from other populations.
